CEO & President
Ron Pieper is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of leadership experience in the building materials industry. Since 2014, he has served as CEO of Max-Tech, Inc., overseeing the strategic vision and operations of its family of brands. Under his leadership, Max-Tech has expanded its market presence, launched new products, and strengthened its position as a trusted provider of innovative solutions for the construction industry.
Ron’s expertise spans strategic planning, operational excellence, mergers and acquisitions, and supply chain leadership. He has played a key role in growing Max-Tech’s capabilities, leading multiple acquisitions, and establishing Structis Construction Solutions Group to provide integrated services across multifamily and commercial construction.
Before joining Max-Tech, Ron held executive roles at ProBuild (now BFS Builders FirstSource) and BlueLinx (formerly Georgia-Pacific), managing large-scale distribution and operations. His leadership is rooted in collaboration, mentorship, and a commitment to customer-driven innovation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Public Relations from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh.
Chief Financial Officer
With over 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles across the distribution, manufacturing, and construction industries, Michael brings a proven ability to drive operational excellence and financial growth through strategic planning and execution.
Since joining Max-Tech in April 2015, Michael has been instrumental in the company’s transformation and unprecedented growth. Under his leadership, Max-Tech has succeeded through strategic acquisitions, product portfolio expansion, new product innovation, and organic development. Michael was instrumental in Maxxon reclaiming its place as the market leader and creating an environment of success by implementing a vertically integrated platform. He leads by example and fosters a collaborative, growth-oriented employee culture.
Before Max-Tech, Michael held several senior finance and operations roles at ProBuild, the largest building products supplier in the country (now Builders FirstSource). He gained hands-on operational experience as a manager of a manufacturing and distribution facility before advancing his career to various senior finance roles, where he managed finance and inventory teams for ProBuild’s National Supply Chain and Western division. This unique combination of financial expertise and operational leadership enables him to approach challenges with a holistic perspective, aligning strategy with measurable outcomes.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with minors in Finance and Accounting from Roanoke College. His leadership continues to shape Max-Tech’s success, ensuring it remains a leader in the construction and building materials industry.
Vice President of Finance and Accounting
With over a decade of experience in finance, accounting, and strategic planning, Trent Anderson brings a track record of delivering operational efficiency and financial leadership to Max-Tech.
Since joining Max-Tech as Vice President of Finance and Accounting in January 2024, Trent has played a pivotal role in driving financial strategy and streamlining accounting operations. Prior to his current role, Trent served as Controller for Maxxon Corporation, where he led financial reporting and operational improvements. His career also includes leadership roles such as Accounting Manager at Energy Management Collaborative (EMC) and Controller at Wedding Day Diamonds, where he specialized in process optimization and financial analysis.
Trent’s foundation in finance was built at companies like Best Buy, where he advanced through senior accounting roles, and CliftonLarsonAllen, where he gained expertise in tax and audit services for construction industry clients. Trent’s commitment to accuracy and fiscal responsibility supports Max-Tech’s mission to deliver innovative solutions while maintaining operational excellence.
Vice President of Human Resources
With over 20 years of experience in human resources leadership, Tom Walters specializes in understanding all aspects of HR and implementing strategic HR initiatives that align with company objectives. Since joining Max-Tech in 2017, Tom has played a pivotal role in fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence and ensuring HR strategies support the company’s growth and success. He has implemented key initiatives in talent acquisition, employee engagement, safety and compliance, positioning Max-Tech as an employer of choice in the construction and flooring industries.
Before Max-Tech, Tom held leadership roles in both large and small organizations where he was instrumental in designing HR strategies, streamlining processes, and supporting company-wide transformations. Earlier in his career, Tom developed deep expertise in HR management and compliance during his time at Hawkins, Wilson Learning Corporation, and H.B. Fuller where he supported growth and change initiatives and organizational improvements.
Tom is passionate about creating an inclusive and dynamic workplace that empowers employees and drives business success. His dedication to aligning HR with strategic goals continues to make a lasting impact at Max-Tech.
